PINAYS, JAPANESE TOPS INTERNATIONAL PAGEANT FOR GRANDMOTHERS

A grandmother from the Philippines took home the coveted title of Mrs. Grand Universe 2019 held last night September 26 at the Tanghalang Pasigueno in Pasig City. Leah May Luna Panisales representing the Philippines topped the married division of the beauty pageant. Another crowd favorite former Bb. Pilipinas 1994 and a finalist at the Miss International Alma Carvajal Concepcion was chosen the top winner in the single division and was crowned Miss Grand Universe 2019. Representative from Japan Kayoko Asai ruled the Mrs. Grand Universe Classic division. Panisales also won the most number of special awards handed out by the organizers and sponsors.
The three winners of the inaugural edition of Mrs. And Miss Grand Universe 2019 were chosen from the field of 16 candidates from all over Asia, Americas and Europe. They were crowned by the chief organizers of the pageant business woman Jenny Guinto (former beauty queen and film star) and her daughter also a beauty pageant title holder Angela Janine Torres.
The three hour fast paced show was seen by thousands of expectators who trooped the venue and through a live streaming over the social media page Facebook. Two special titles were also given out last night, Mrs. Grand Universe International 2019 won by Christa Papa – Ely representing United States of America and Mrs. Grand Ambassador 2019 who went to Mrs. Thailand Wipardvadee Mills.
The winners will be the official ambassadors of the pageant to promote its cause and advocacy which is the welfare of women and children in their respective countries. The pageant aims to become a platform for women who do not only possess beauty, but most importantly, confidence and caring heart.
