MISTERS OF FILIPINAS 2019 UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

A new a set of winners for Misters of Filipinas 2019 were selected last Saturday, September 21 during its grand finale at the Flying V- Oil Arena in San Juan City. Five extra ordinary men were proclaimed the crème de la crème of the search out of hundreds of applicants who went under strict selection in the previous months. From a short list of twenty-two candidates, seven lucky guys made it to the podium (5 title holders and 2 runners-up). They were presented to selected members of the media last Wednesday September 25 at the Winford Resort and Casino in Manila, their first appearance after the finals of the pageant for post pageant interview and pictorial.
Bonjour Veloso Adaza of Misamis Oriental (2nd runner-up) – Believe it or not but this 21 year-old guy donated his cash prize of P100,000.00 he won during a local search back in their province to help the vulnerable people. Bonaparte or Bonjour to his friends is a BS Tourism Management graduate at Liceo De Cagayan. He is a Youth Ambassador of Smiles of a well known foundation in Misamis that supports under privileged youngsters.
Joseph Xavier Reyes Pili of Tabaco, Albay (1st runner – up) – Joseph was the top winner of a search last year that deals with HIV awareness. This 24 year-old graduate of BS Early Childhood Education is also into Muay Thai and Taekwondo. Also an aspiring singer, he plans to enter Mister of Filipinas again after 2 years.
The title holders:
Kevin Jay Secoya of Cebu City (Misters of Filipinas Model of the Universe 2019) Kevin is a 22 year old native of Bantayan Island in the Queen City of the South. He finished BS Marine Transportation and looking forward to become a successful free lance model in the future. He is heading to Bangalore India early next year to compete in the annual Model of the Universe 2019.
Vandave Lopez Paragas of Pasig City (Misters of Filipinas Tourism and Culture Universe 2019) – Prior to his inclusion in Misters of Filipinas 2019, Vandave was a runner – up in a tourism pageant held last year. The 22 year-old aspiring actor is a graduate of a three –year marine course and works as a part time model. He dedicated his victory in Misters of Filipinas to his family (his mother in particular for the full support she gave since day 1 of the competition). Vandave is gunning for a back to back title for the Philippines next year in Myanmar for Mister Tourism and Culture Universe 2020 pageant. Last month, a Misters of Filipinas alumni Yves Campos topped the 2019 edition of the pageant.
Gianluca Lanta of Filipino Community of Italy (Misters of Filipinas Model Worldwide 2019) – This Milan based Pinoy is promoting health and fitness among his co candidates in the duration of the pageant. 21 year-old Gianluca is currently working as a personal gym trainer. He is another Misters of Filipinas gunning for a double whammy this December in New Delhi, India for the annual Mister Model Worldwide pageant. Carlo Pasion was the eventual winner of the search last year.
Levin Aquino Arguelles of Tarlac City (Misters of Filipinas International 2019) – 22 year-old Levin is the current Mister Tarlac 2019 prior to his joining in Misters of Filipinas. This registered nurse (from University of Santo Tomas) wants to pursue a medical course in the future and specialized in anesthesiology. A recipient of several special awards during the finals of the pageant, Levin is looking forward for his international competition this year and hoping to duplicate the feat of Neil Perez, our first Mr. International title holder.
Tomas “Tommy” Lingad Penaflor of Bataan (Misters of Filipinas Man of the World 2019) – Tommy is a veteran not only in pageantry but also in the world of show business. He is in the industry for more than 5 years now doing short roles mostly for GMA Kapuso network programs. This 25 year-old hunk from Dinalupihan, Bataan is a Radiologist Technology graduate and winning the most coveted title in Misters of Filipinas 2019 is a realization of one of his dreams. He will be the Philippines representative in the 4th edition of Man of the World pageant in July next year either in Bangkok or Manila.
