MISS ASIA PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL 2019 SOARS HIGHER WITH DIVERSITY
On the heels of its golden year, the esteemed Miss Asia Pacific International takes its pageantry to greater heights as it strengthens its advocacy at the core of the pageant. The organization brings 55 of the region’s most inspiring women to its grand stage to vie for the crown and title representing beauty in diversity.
Under the banner of its season campaign #LoveTheDifference, the Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 is setting itself further apart from the pageant mound by putting utmost importance on embracing individuality and championing appreciation for different facets of diversity.
“As a pageant organization, we take pride in our advocacy because we believe that true beauty lies in the camaraderie of women when you see them together and them recognizing their differences. We want Miss Asia Pacific International to be a venue for the world to realize that women can achieve their highest potentials, not in spite of their differences, but because of it,” says MAPI President Jacqueline Tan – Sainz.
Following the trust of further promoting its advocacy, the organization is introducing a development in its activities. Named Continents Queens, these candidates will be chosen to represent their continents through their submitted videos showcasing their personal advocacies and how they best relate to organization’s own advocacy. They also have the privilege to automatically advance to the top 25.
The Continental Queens will be awarded along with the best performers in the National Costume Competition, Swimsuit Competition and Evening Gown Competition on October 4 and 5, 2019 at the PICC Summit Halls.
The much-awaited pageant will culminate on the Grand Coronation Night on October 9, 2019 at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Resorts World Manila when the reigning queen, Philippines’ very own Sharifa Akeel, will crown her successor.
