Twenty-one year old native of Sultan Kudarat was crowned Miss Asia-Pacific International 2018. Sharifa Akeel bested 48 other delegates from around the world during the finale of the pageant held at the Newport Theater of Performing Arts, RWM in Pasay City.
The pageant was hosted by model Joey Mead, Marck Nelson and Rovilson Fernadez. Miss Brazil Gabriela Palma palced 1st runner-up, Miss Costa Rica Jessica Melania Gonzalez Monge was named 2nd runner-up, Miss Mongolia Misheelt Narmandakh 3rd runner-up and Miss Venezuela Ariani Nataly Chacon Angarita was 4th runner-up.
Completing the Top 10 are Panama, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia and Thailand.
The pageant will be telecast over ABS CBN on October 7 at 11:30pm and at Foxlife cable channel at 11”30am.
