MUTYA NG PILIPINAS GOLD – THE HOMECOMING

ONCE A MUTYA…..FOREVER A QUEEN! Close to 100 beauty queens and alumni of Mutya Ng Pilipinas attended the grand homecoming last September 11 at the Ballroom of Ascott, BGC in Taguig City. It was a nostalgic night for the past winners of one of the premier national beauty pageants in the country. Mutya Ng Pilipinas is celebrating it’s golden year with the grand coronation night on September 16 at the Mall of Asia Arena featuring the country’s fifty loveliest Mutya. Ms. Hemilyn Escudero-Tamayo, the pageant incumbent President is very ecstatic with the turn out of the reunion of Mutya beauties were majority of the title holders are in attendance. She hope that Mutya will have another glorious 50 years and will continue the legacy of championing the Filipinas beauty in various international pageants. In line with the golden celebration of Mutya, a book featuring the past and present Mutya queens was launched, tracing the history of the pageant from it’s conception way back in 1968 up to the present. The book will be available in leading bookstore soon. Out going title holders led by Ilene Astrid De Vera, Jannie Loudette Alipo-on and Hannah Khayle Iglesia. The homecoming and book launching were hosted by Kristine Caballo Aplal and Ganiel Akrisha Krishnan and directed by Rodgil Flores.
