









MR. AND MS. CHINATOWN PHILIPPINES 2018 PRESS PRESENTATION

The twenty-eight official candidates (14 male and 14 female) for Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines 2018 pageant were presented to the members of the press last August 8, at the Ruby Ballroom of Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Mandaluyong City.
This year’s edition of the pageant is officially launched by Fil-Chi Media Productions, Inc., a lifestyle and television production company that aims to promote the Chinese culture as well as bridge the Chinese and Filipino communities through their TV program Chinoy TV on ABS CBN News Channel (ANC) together with the Miss Chinatown Foundation.
Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines is the country’s premier beauty pageant that spearheads the promotion of the unique fusion of the Chinese and Filipino cultures since 2013 through the dedicated and progressive Chinoy youth.
This year’s Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines is presented by Tak Chun Group, co-presented by the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc,, and proudly organized by Chinoy TV, Miss Chinatown Foundation and ABS-CBN.
The candidates are representing the different sectors of the community. They will be competing in various pre-pageant activities such as Press Presentation August 8, Fashion Show August 15 at Robinsons Manila, Cultural Costume Presentation on August 19 at Resort’s World Manila, and Talent Competition on August 28 at Lucky Chinatown Mall. The winners and runners-up will receive P200,000.00, P100,000.00 and P50,000.00 worth of cash and prizes respectively.
At the end of the press presentation Rachel Tan and Lawrence Chua were voted by the members of the media as Darling of the Press. Grand Coronation night is on September 2, 2018 at the Mall of Asia Arena to be telecast on a delayed basis on September 9 on ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best.
