FORMER Bb. PILIPINAS ASPIRANT CELEBRATED HER BIRTHDAY, DAUGHTER ENTERED Bb. 2018 TO FULFILL HER DREAM.

Former Bb. Pilipinas aspirant way back in the late 80s celebrated her birthday last February 14, Valentines Day and also falls on Ash Wednesday at Italiannis Restaurant in Edsa Shangri-La. Fifty something Jovita “Jovs” Laureola recalls her fond memories of her Bb. Pilipinas stint. “Upon registration as official candidates, we were billetedat the hotel until the end of the pageant. Former Miss Universe Gloria Diaz and Ariel Ureta hosted our coronation won By Geraldine Asis who eventually made it to the Miss Universe 1987 semi-finals. The experience opened so many opportunities for me and taught me to become more responsible and matured person”, Jovs recalled.
Her daughter 23 year old Patrizia Mariah Garcia is one of the official candidates of this year’s Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant (Bb.#37). The 5’6” and 116 lbs beauty is a graduate of Educational Psychology at the De LaSalle University in Manila. Pat as she fondly called by her peers loves swimming, surfing and used to be connected in one of the major telecommunication company in the country. She belongs to the KF beauty camp where she was trained way back in 2015 when she first joined a national beauty pageant. During the final screening last January 15, she told the screening panel that her mom joined the most prestigious national beauty pageant in the land decades ago, and she is joining the 2018 search for her and eventually to win one of the major titles.
Selected members of the press were invited at the birthday lunch celebration with Belmere top honcho Michelle Encarnacion Vitug. Free lance model Pat would like to help special children and she is planning to build an organization to assist children from the minority group with similar disabilities.
We asked what title she would like to win on March 18 during the finals of Bb. Pilipinas, she said that aside from the Universe title, she want to be proclaimed as Bb. Pilipinas Globe because she believes that she fits the qualifications of the international beauty pageant.
Again we wish Pat all the best of luck in the remaining pre-pageant competitions of Bb. Pilipinas leading to the coronation night at Smart Araneta Coliseum and more birthdays and blessings to come to her loving mom Jovs.
