The Philippine Academy of Aesthetic and Age Management Medicine, Inc. (PAAAMI) held its Fellowship Night last Saturday, Sept.2 at the grand ballroom of Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas, Mandaluyong City.
Present during the event are the president of PAAAMI Dr. Charlie Mendez and VP for External Affair Dr. James Boado. “We held this fellowship night yearly to give our members a break from their hectic schedules and to know more what are the latest in our industry with regards to age management and other anti-aging procedures”, says Dr. Boado. “For this year, the theme our fellowship is That Elegant Floral Evening where all of our members will be part of a fashion show wearing a floral motif attires”, adds Dr. Mendez. Selected celebrities were invited to judge during the fashions show including Miss World 1973 first runner-up Evangeline Pascual, Miss Universe 1984 3rd runner-up Desiree Verdadero Abesamis, singer par excellence Lyod Umali and comedian/host Shalala. Corporate partner of the event is the Global Wellness Enterprise led by their CEO Anna Perez.
Highlight of the evening’s program is the grand fashion show featuring the exquisite collections of world class Filipino designer Arielle Agasang. The fabulous ensemble consists of Filipiniana inspired creations using indigenous materials like jusi and pina. Agasang bravely incorporate modern fusion of colors and style and come up with ternos that are wearable and acceptable to the international fashion standard. “I am planning to stage a fashion show in the US probably next year and this is just a preview of what they can expect. Today Filipiniana ternos and barongs are celebrated not only during political events but also to the world of fashion and wearing them implies dignity, class and elegance”, Agasang enthused.
