MISTER AND MISS CULTURE WORLD 2017 LAUNCHED

The third edition of the annual search for Mister and Miss Culture World 2017 was officially launched last April 20 at the function room of Icon Hotel in Timog, Quezon City.

Present during the occasion are the two pairs of candidates Al-Hakam Reggie Dimanlas and Rizza Paula Infante from the Philippines, Al Mario Lara representing South Central Mindanao and Honey Leth Ventura from Central Luzon. Also in attendance are the officers of the pageant led by their Chairman Mr. Abubakar Kalbit, Jr. and Mr. Saidali Abdilla, Jr., the president of the organization.

The search was first established in 2015 in Kota Kinabalu East Malaysia as Mister and Miss Culture Asia but later re-branded to Mister and Miss Culture World as the pageant accepted participating countries outside Asian continent. The pageant showcase the culture of participating countries, creating a space where people of all backgrounds are celebrated equally, where people around the world can learn from one another, creating new understanding, making new friends and forging stronger communities relationship.

2017 staging of the pageant will be held here in Manila this coming May 17-26. The delegates will experience the beauty of the Philippines, likewise they will be expose to the country’s world-renowned hospitality by experiencing local cuisine and tradition culture.The candidates will have a chance to show their advocacy during a tour to Negros Occidental. “What makes our pageant unique is that more than our candidates physical attributes, we give importance to their personality and advocacies,” says MMCWI Chairman Saidali Abdilla, Jr. during the press launch.

Reigning Mister and Miss Culture World are Mr. Bob Royo from the Philippines and Ms. Hnin WutYee Win from Myanmar.”My year as Mister Culture World 2016 has been fulfilling and inspiring. I am very proud and happy that I was able to show the world the best Filipino culture by means of people helping in need,” Bob enthused during an interview.
