Fifity one year old Agnes Padao Jakosalem, born in Zamboanga and raised in Consolacion, Cebu was feted with a victory party at Icon Hotel in Timog Ave., Quezon City last Friday, February 03, 2017 for winning the Mrs. Grandma Universe 2017 title in Sofia, Bulgaria last January 21.
Jakosalem, together with Mrs. Grandma Universe Philippin licensee Ovette Ricalde and pageant trainor Tatta Saguin, met her family and friends as well as members of the media after her victorious homecoming last week where she immediately flew to Cebu and did a guesting at ABS CBN Cebu.
A real estate broker, she has two sons and a daughter, and a 7 year old grand daughter. She is active in Bukas Loob sa Diyos Community, a Catholic charismatic organization that helps the less fortunate.
Agnes bested 14 other grandmothers from as many countries worldwide at the international pageant held at Montecito Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria.
It was a most fitting follow up to last year’s pageant where Babylyn Decena Newfield of Muntinlupa City came close to winning the coveted crown by bagging the Mrs. Grandma Universal title.
Agnes was joined in Bulgaria by Mary Rose Salubre, who won as Mrs. Classic Galaxy in the Classic Universe category.
