MISS INTERNATIONAL 2016 KYLIE VERZOSA IS BACK IN THE PHILIPPINES

Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa arrived in style at NAIA terminal 2, late afternoon on November 11, 2016. The newly-crowned queen was all smiles as she waved at the members of the media and her throng of supporters waiting for her arrival. Later that night, she was feted a meet and greet with the media, attended by Binibining Pilipinas Inc., chairperson Stella Marquez Araneta.

Kylie bested 69 other candidates from all over the world on her way to taking home the country’s sixth Miss International title. She admits to having mixed emotions upon learning that she won the crown.

“I feel good winning the title. I was surprised, there’s so much good competition. So, when they called my name, it was a mixture of shock and relief. I was very surprised and very happy also”, she says.

Kylie clinched the Miss International title in a pageant held in Tokyo, Japan on October 27. Indeed, it has strengthened the country’s status as beauty pageant powerhouse. Kylie, a 24-year old Ateneo De Manila University graduate from Baguio City, did not fail to impress the prestigious pageant’s esteemed judges. From the preliminary activities to the coronation night, she wowed the audience and pageant followers all over the world. She had a solid showing during swimsuit and national costume competition wearing an avant-garde Francis Libiran terno. To top it all, she delivered a flawless, awe-ispiring speech. She said that should she win the ttile, she would focus on cultural and international understanding.

Winning Miss international is truly an unforgettable moment for Kylie but she adds that touring all over Japan and making friends with her fellow candidates are priceless memories as well. Before her pageant stint, Kylie was a pre-school teacher and professional model. She is also a staunch advocate of mental health awareness. Kylie recently started her official reign as Miss International. Her first few official activities include attending women’s entrepreneurship forum at Toba and visiting the UNICEF Japan office.

The Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc., (BPCI) is already preparing for a grand homecoming celebration fit for a queen. Congratulations Kylie!
