MISS GRAND INTERNATIONAL 2016 1ST RUNNER UP NICOLE CORDOVES GETS A WARM HOMECOMING

After her remarkable performance at the recently concluded Miss Grand International pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada last month, Miss Grand International 1st Runner-up Nicole Cordoves was feted by the media and other Binibining Pilipinas winners in a press conference last November 10 at the Versailles Tent of Novotel Manila Araneta Center.
During the pageant’s speech portion, where finalists were asked how they intend to “Stop the War and Violence”, Nicole speech focused on how children should not risk their lives for us amid violence and war. She enjoined everyone to build a world that will allow them to dream, grow, and to live.
She adds that her favorite portion of the pageant is talking to all girls because everyone had their own personal advocacies. While her Q&A answer elicited jeers from the audience, Nicole had no regret about it. “At that point it was more than answering a question. It’s something that really reinforced who I am.” She also shared how happy she was to receive good feedback about her walk that night, which she did not expect to become one of her strengths
