Miss Philippines-Earth 2016 Resorts Wear Competition
Miss Philippines Earth 2016 Resort Wear competition was a big success. Held at the posh Pontefino Hotel and Residences, a 4-Star Hotel with a 5 Star amenities located at the heart of Batangas City last May 20, 2016. Present during the event were the executives of Pontefino led by Ms. Fely Ramos, Mr. Tommy Tantoco and Mr. Antonio Pastor. Selected media members were invited to cover the event. Prior to the competition, a luncheon seminar was held at one of the function room of the hotel regarding climate change.
A total of forty-six (46) gorgeous and environmental savvy women representing different provinces and municipalities of the country vied for the special award. At the end of the 2 hour show, Miss Lobo, Batangas Krissandra Marie Abel was chosen as Miss Pontefino Hotel while crowd favorite Imelda Bautista Schweighart of Puerto Princesa City bagged the Miss Pontefino Residences title. For the main competition of night, Miss Palo, Leyte Nina Sherra Tagalog took home the bronze medal, silver medal went to Ms. Zamboanga Bellatrix Tan and the coveted gold medal was won by Rachelle Quinones of Lubang Occidental Mindoro. All the winners received a trophy, flowers and cash prizes from the management of Pontefino. The following day May 21, a massive reforestation was held at the Calumpang River banks were all the candidates planted mangroves to the save the marine life and the river itself. Miss Philippines Earth 2016 will have its finals night on June 11 at the Aguinaldo Shrine in kawit, Cavite to be telecast the following night.
