Manhunt International June Macasaet spends birthday at the Home for the Aged The year 2012 had been a very good year for June Macasaet because he was able to bring home the prestigious “Manhunt International title. Since then, life has never been the same again for this very nice and unassuming guy. He has been swamped with product endorsements not just here in the Philippines but in other neighboring Asian countries as well. He just came from Singapore to do a photo shoot for high end brand Zappy shoes. Apart from that, June was also tapped by Urban Male apparel as its global brand ambassador and will appear on advertising campaign. Before the year ends, he will be launched as product endorser of a Skin Care foe Men manufactured by a reputable company in the beauty industry. In other words, blessings pour to those who wait and work hard in life. Prior to Manhunt stint, June Macasaet’s life was simple and uncomplicated. Now it’s a totally different story, everybody knows him and in a jiffy, he has become an instant celebrity. But June is not complaining, in fact he is very thankful to the Lord for all the blessing that he has given him. What’s so nice about the guy is he’s a very prayerful person. Not everybody knows that he frequents Baclaran Church every Tuesday with his brothers and friends. “My lola taught and raised me to be a God-fearing person and I really miss her so much. She died in my arms due to lung cancer and I know she’s guiding me all these years,” he said. Through his earnings in modeling, June was able to build his own house and help his family. So a day before his 29th birthday, last June 7, 2013, June spent the whole afternoon in visiting and entertaining the more than a hundred elderly of the Haven for the Elderly compound located in the middle of the rustic hills of Tanay, Rizal as a way of giving tribute to his beloved grandmother. “ Instead of throwing a lavish party, I want to share it with other lolo’s and lola’s who are abandoned and neglected.” Together with some close Media friends, Junmac treated the elders with fun, food and laughter. He made it a point to talk to some of the Lola’s there and share pleasantries with them. “I’m so glad that that they are healthy and happy despite being abandoned by their respective families. It’s really a dream come true for me to spend my birthday with them and I do hope that this will become a yearly B-day event for me.” June Macasaet further adds. To You June!
