PAGEANT PLATTER FOR THIS WEEK

This week proved to be another busy week in beauty pageant industry as three relevant and related events held over the weekend. Last Saturday, August 8, 2015, newly crowned Miss Tourism World Philippines 2015 Roanne Refrea spend the night with her family, friends and members of media during her victory party held at the Antel Hotel and Serenity Tower in Makati City.
The party was conceptualized by her mom Annie with the help from Miss Tourism Philippines staff. Roanne was declared as major title holder during the coronation night last July 30 at the Theater@Solaire in Pasay City. Also present during the event were her co-winners from the province of Laguna Leida Paulette Babasanta- Miss Tourism Philippines Universe, Alexandra Mae Rosales – Miss Eco Tourism Philippines and Dianarra Cardozo-Miss Asean Tourism Philippines. Aside from the title, Roanne bagged six special awards handed-out during the coronation. She will going to compete this coming November at the Miss Tourism World pageant to be held in Thailand.
Meanwhile on the same date, the 12th annual Miss F Universe was held in Farenheit Bar Club in Quezon City. The pageant is one of the most popular “gay parody” contest in the country. This year batch was considered the toughest according to people who religiously patronizing the annual search. There were twenty six official candidates who battled it out for the prestigious title of Miss F Universe 2015 and after four hours of beauty, composure, confident and intelligence tall and graceful Tifanny Alejandro representing Puerto Rico bagged the crown. Panel of judges includes actress Anna Capri, actors Joseph Bitangcol and Raphael Martinez, PBB housemate Fourth Solomon, youtube sensation Sebastian Castro, Ryan Edward Chua of ABS-CBN, beauty queens Jaimee Herrel and Parul Shah and pageant blogger Noli A. Berioso of OPMBWorldwide and Showbiz Sosyal.
The pageant was hosted by Kristine Caballero-Aplal and directed by beauty queen-maker Rodgil Flores. Miss F Universe was first suggested by Ryan Soto as an experiment and later on became an annual event, The pageant is owned and produced by Wilbert Ting Tolentino former Mr. Gay World Philippines and a finalist of I am Pogay contest. Lastly, August 9 Sunday at the elite Manila Polo Club in Forbes Park, Makati City, a masquerade ball dubbed as La Masquerada Filipiniana was held for a cause featuring the holiday collection of Rotarian and philanthropist Jessica Maloles and executed by US based fashion designer Boy Lizaso. Jessie was a former Mrs. Asia International first runner-up and recipient of the Miss Talent award during the pageant held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last year. Also visible during the event is Miss Joyce Pilarsky who won the Mrs. Asia Classic International title in the same pageant. Entertainment number was provided by famous belter Dulce. Highlight of the vent was the grand fashion show from the collection of Lizaso and modelled by Jessie Maloles and some popular faces in the modeling industry.
