The Search for Miss F Universe 2015
Miss F Universe “Miss F” - is a gay parody of Miss Universe beauty pageant. The “F” stands for Fahrenheit, derived from the club’s name.
It is the country’s only longest running “Category B” gay beauty pageant, since 2003. First suggested as an experiment by Ryan Soto. However due to its success, it became an annual event. The pageant’s original slogan is “Body, Beauty, Brain & Humor”.
Gay beauty pageants in the Philippines is labeled in two categories based from the gay orientation of the contestants. (“Category A pageant” is mostly for Transgenders and contestants who have undergone surgeries or have taken enhancements for female transformation. “Category B pageant” is mostly for Gay-Males, Bisexuals and for Straight-Acting Gay delegates. Sometimes, some pageants can be both.)
The pageant is owned by Fahrenheit Cafe & Fitness Center, which is now F Philippines by Wilbert Tolentino, the country’s first Mr. Gay World representative in 2009 and a former I Am Pogay weekly finalist.
This year’s pageant will be hosted by Kristine Caballero - Aplal, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2002, with famous pageant bloggers, Norman Tinio of normannorman.com and Noli Berioso of OPMBWorldwide.com with top notched beauty queens as celebrity judges.
This year’s pageant is directed and written by Rodgil Flores “ The Beauty Queen Maker ” of Kagandahan Flores and produced by Wilbert Ting Tolentino.
