Less than a month ago when she was crowned the first ever Ms. Grand Philippines 2014. Kimberly Karlsson is now ready to embark a new chapter in her life as she will compete for the 2nd Annual Miss Grand 
International Beauty Pageant to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from Sept 16 to October 7. The nineteen year old Pinay-Swedish beauty from Puerto Galera, Mindoro Oriental left the country last September 16 via Philippine Airlines to compete with more than 100 beauties around the world for the coveted title of Miss Grand International 2014 currently held by Janelee Chapparo of Puerto Rico.
"It’s a big honor for me to represent my country the Philippines in an international pageant arena. Ms. Grand International is relatively new in the field of international pageants but it continues to grow and attract pageant fanatics around the globe. It became a grand slam pageant on its first year of existence". Kimberly says. "Part of my game plan is to win the heart of the Thai community, this year host country. I’m sure it will not be that hard because Filipinos and Thais have so many common denominators aside from being a country with so many beautiful people inside out". she adds .
Mr. John Dela Vega is the National Director/Local Franchise owner of the pageant in the Philippines. He told the members of media present during the send-off at Centennial Airport Terminal 2 that he is very proud of Kimberly. ” I am optimistic that like Ali Forbes our representative last year, Kimberly has all the qualities that the organizers of the international pageant is looking for a winner. I saw her transformation in the past few weeks, with all of her preparations and training for the competition she is more than ready and determined to win the crown of Miss Grand International.”.
