Pinay Beauty Queen Academy, the newest Reality TV Show that focuses on the rigors and arduous path that an aspiring beauty queen has to go through in preparing her to enter the highly-competitive world of beauty pageantry was formally launched in a Press Conference held last Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Fisher Mall, Quezon City.
To be hosted by Miss Ali Forbes (Ms. Grand International 2013 3rd Runner-Up) with popular comedian-singer and stage actress performer Joy Viado as special segment host, the one-hour weekly episode will feature twenty lovely young women, chosen from among hundreds of applicants nationwide, on their different aspects of physical and mental preparations in fulfilling their dreams of becoming a beauty queen. The girls were group into four teams with one mentor for each team, who will guide them on the different challenges that each group and even individual contestant has to face.
A stellar list of Pinay achievers will stand inas mentors/jurors for this newest Beauty Reality TV show.. they are TV/Movie and Radio Personality and Miss World 1973 First Runner-Up Evangeline Pascual, Award winning actress and Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 1982 Ma. Isabel Lopez, Commercial model and Beauty Queen Blogger, Bb. Pilipinas Universe 1985 Joyce Ann Burton-Titular and TV and movie actress, Miss International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz.
