









FIFTY TWO BEAUTIES VIE FOR THE INAUGURAL MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2020

A total of fifty two aspiring young beauty queens made it to the roster of candidates for the inaugural Miss Universe Philippines 2020. The official candidates were presented to the members of tri-media (television, newspapers and blogs) wearing modern ternos and walked the red carpet last February 14, Valentine’s day at the Maynila Ballroom of the historic Manila Hotel. The newest pageant in the country embodies a strong commitment in promoting three pillars’ Beautiful Transformation, Beyond the Coastlines and Women with Action. They are representing the diffident cities, municipalities and provinces around the archipelago.
Present during the media presentation were the officials Miss Universe Philippines Organization led by former beauty queen Shamcey Supsup Lee president, Jonas Gaffud Creative Director and RS Francisco president of Frontrow, major presenter of the pageant.
The candidates will embark in a series of activities from photo shoots, TV guestigs, sponsors visit, charity gala among others. MUP is dedicated to bring out the best of the Filipina and make her an agent of meaningful change. Their goal is to be the gold standard of national pageants around the world while being a flat form for the best of Filipinos creativity and championing socially-meaningful advocacies.
