LEYTE REP TOPS MUNTING MUTYA NG PILIPINAS 2019 SEARCH

An eleven year-old girl representing the town of Abuyog, Province of Leyte was crowned the inaugural winner of Munting Mutya Ng Pilipinas 2019 Sunday night November 17 at the AFP Theater in Quezon City.
Ayumi Chavez, a grade six student of Padre Zamora Elementary School in Pasay City bested forty-five other contenders ages ranging from 5 to 12 and clinched the coveted title and will have the right to represent thecountry at the Best Kid Model Universe 2020 in Milan, Italy. Samantha Niebres of Olongapo City, Zambales came in second. She will fly to Dubai next year to compete at the Junior Model International. Aside from Ayumi and Samantha, other winners of the pageant intended for kids are Cassey Thomas of Cabuyao City, Laguna (3rd), Rhoelle Mamorno of Batangas Province (4th) and Ashanti Madrazo of Montalban Rizal (5th).
Seasoned host Onin Mas and former Mrs. Tourism International 2017 and TV host Dr. Risa Caldoza hosted the three hour pageant. Aside from the title, Ayumi also won several special awards given by the organizer and corporate sponsors of Munting Mutya Ng Pilipinas 2019.
