RIKI MAE INVADES MACAU
Reigning Miss Philippine Youth International 2019 Riki Mae Dela Pena is currently in Macau for an exchange study program. She shared her wisdom to the local students in the island on the topic about beauty pageant in the Philippines.
She reiterate that Filipinos are considered pageant crazy people in the world because beauty pageant is considered a national obsession by the most of the women in the country. It is part of our culture and tradition, in every town festivities and even in school programs, the most beautiful and smart women are being honored as beauty queens. She further explain that pageant promotes unison among us and eventually make way in promoting the works of local designers and make up artists as well.
Before she left for Macau, Riki Mae attended a press conference where she was ask if her being a young beauty queen affects her study. She replied that as a national title holder at a very young age, it inspire her more to excel in her school activities both in academics and extra curricular. It also served as her motivation to perform her duties and responsibilities as Miss Philippine Youth International 2019.
