CAVITENA BEAUTY TO REPRESENT PH IN THE 2018 MISS LUMIERE INTERNATIONAL WORLD EDITION
Twenty-five year old true blue Cavitena is the country’s representative to the annual Miss Lumiere International World 2018 to held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia this coming November 10.
Donna Marie Jan Balaoro who was crowned Miss Lumiere Philippines 2018 last September 30 at the Star Theater, CCP Complex, Pasay City is leaving on Sunday, November 4 to start her quest for the crown of Miss Lumiere International World. Last year’s delegate Sammy Anne Legaspi finished second over-all during the finals of the pageant also in Malaysia. Legaspi is now the National Director of the pageant here in the country.
Balaoro, an International Tourism Travel major graduate of Lyceum of the Philippines is a self-confessed vegetable lover and doesn’t eat pork all of her life. She is also very proud to tell the whole world that she was adopted and raised by a member of LGBT community. After 17 years, she was able to meet her biological parents. The meeting was very emotional and memorable for her and thankful that she finally met them.
Donna is part of the PinkDot, a Singapore based organization that deals on the role of the LGBT Community in the society. Initially, her “Amma” was the one who introduced her to the group and later on she realized its importance for giving color and joy to other people.
Balaoro is an optimist person, she believes that during the darkest hour of anyone’s life there is always a ray of light that will bring hope to make their life a better one. She is all set and determined to win the very first Miss Lumiere International World crown for the Philippines.
