Newly crowned Miss World Philippines Reina Hispanoamericana 2018 Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez is all set to compete in the 2018 edition of Reina Hispanoamericana. She is leaving for Santa Cruz, Bolivia any day from now to start her quest for a back to back victory in one of the most unique beauty pageants in the world.
The twenty-two year old beauty is the eldest daughter of actress Almira Muhlach and PBA legend Paul Alvarez. She graduated recently with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communication at the University of Asia and the Pacific.
A special send-off press conference was held last October 18 at Annabels Restaurant in Timog, Quezon City to officially start her campaign at the 29th edition of the international pageant. Present during the special event is no less than National Director of Miss World Philippines Arnold Vegafria together with the organization’s Business Manager Bessie Besana. Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Sonja Rodriguez and MWP 2018 first princess Chanel Morales were present at the occasion to give their support for Alyssa. The annual pageant deals with celebrating Spanish heritage among participating countries. From its conception in mid 90s to early 2000, the pageant was restricted to South and Central American territories In 2007 participants from North America were invited and just last year, Philippines and Haiti were added to the growing lists of participants.
Reigning Reina Hispanoamerica 2017 is Teresita Ssen Marquez of the Philippines.
