Two montgs ago, the department of Health (DOH) launched the search for ambassadors that will serve as the face and voice of their continuing effort to stop the increasing numbers of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cases in the country – in addition to getting existing patients to continue their treatment.
Named LHIVE FREE, the search comes on the form of a three-way pageant (open to male, female and transwomen) Fast forward today, the agency announces the top 30 finalists (10 from each category) who are in the running to win the said competition.
Male Redvocates : Richard Prayco – Samar, Joshua Jimenea – Iloilo, Joseph Xander Pili – Naga City, Abdullag Silawi – Lucban, Quezon, Kevib Kai Angala 0 San Pedro City, Laguna, Rikand John Torres – Albay, Julian Mari Lee - Quezon City, Jearu Ed Magbuhat – Batangas, Joeser Sinfuego – Camarines Sur.
Female Redvocates : Precious Olay Nata – Isabela, Patricia Agapito – Caloocan City, Joane Tampoco – Camarines Sur, Alita Anlei Tupaz – Antipolo City, Karen Nicole Piccio – Manila, Joanna Day – Bulacan, Patrixia Shirley Santos – Daraga, Albay, Maria Liliana Macalino – Quezon City, Elisa Taylor – Mandaluyong City, Marie Sherry Ann Tormes - Rizal

Darling of the Press winners were Jearu Magbuhat for Male, Patrixia Shirley Santos dor Female and Matricamae Centino for Transwomen
LHIVE FREE’s final pageant night will be held on September 28, 2018 at the SMX, Convention Center at the Mall of Asia Complex. During which, the campaign’s current face, Miss International 2016 Kyle Versoza, will personally crown the winners who will join her and the DOH on a series of promotional activities that will dispel wrong information and negative stigma associated with the virus, as well as bring help to individuals who are infected by it.
