TWENTY-EIGHT BEAUTIES VIE FOR MISS TOURISM PHILIPPINES 2018

Twenty-eight exceptional aspirants representing the different provinces, municipalities and cities from all over the country will vie for the 7th Miss Tourism Philippines 2018 Beauty pageant. The official candidates wearing swimwear provided by Domz Ramos of DR Swim were formally presented to the members of the press yesterday July 13 at the Vivere Filinvest in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The pageant is establishing itself as one of the major force in the industry is promoting tourism through beauty , arts and culture. President and CEE of MPI, Inc., Amy Sunio-Abarquez was happy to tell the members of the media that the pageant has finally got the endorsement of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). “They truly believe in the advocacy of Miss Tourism Philippines as a platform in promoting the country’s picturesque attractions, hospitable people, unique cuisine and the treasure trove of arts, traditions and culture”, Abarquez says. Abarquez is being supported by the following people in realizing the 2018 edition of the pageant, they are Antonio Abarquez Chief Financial Officer, Ret. Sr. Supt. Veronica S. Cataluna of the Bureau of Fire and Protection as Corporate Secretary and Dr. John Weinstein as Director of International Affair. Four major titles are at stake this year: Miss Philippines – World Tourism Ambassador, Miss Tourism Philippines Asia International, Miss Philippines-Tourism World and Miss Tourism Philippines – Universe. Aside from the 4 titles 4 lucky ladies will be recognized as Philippines Tourism Ambassadors, a big leap for a revolutionary transformation in the field of pageant as MTP aims to empower women equality. The official candidates will be involved in different pre-pageant events leading to the Grand Coronation Night on August 25, 2018 at the Chateau Roayale in Nasugbu, Batangas and will be telecast over GMA News TV on September 9. Two lucky ladies were awarded at the end of the event. Miss Bacnotan, La Union Jeniel Ella Estrella was named Miss Photogenic while Miss Caloocan City Nina Monica Aron Madrid was voted as Darling of the Press.
