






JEWEL OF THE PHILIPPINES BEAUTY WINS INAUGURAL MISS LANDSCAPES INTERNATIONAL TIRLE IN CHINA

Finally, the nine-year drought and what pageant fanatics believe to be a”curse” was finally ended and broken last June 23, 2018 when Pinay beauty queen Karen Grace Atienza of Rodriguez Rizal was crowned Miss landscapes International 2018. She becomes the third Filipina to win an international beauty title hosted or held in China. The last time aFilipina won in Chinese soil was in 2009 courtesy of April Love Jordan.
She finally arrives this morning, June 27 via China Airlines. An impromptu press conference was held at the Elm’s Kapihan Bar in Pasig City attended by her family, media members, local organizers and friends.
Karen us a Jewel of the Philippines Sapphire 2017, a new national pageant chaired by beauty queen maker and events and pageant director John Dela Vega. The inaugural pageant of Miss Landscapes International was organized by Charm Press Intercontinental Marketing Co. Ltd., the same organization behind the Miss China pageant owned by Adam Lee. Karen bested thirty eight international delegates and won a whopping $10,000 and a one year hotel accommodation in China. Atienza, a high school English teacher at Manggahan National High School in Rodriguez Rizal impressed the judges during the casual or Q an A round where she talked about nature being a mother to us. The four finalists which includes Peru, Ecuador, and Thailand each delivered a speech about pageant’s advocacy which is achieving harmony between nature and mankind and protection of animals. Karen once again impressed the judges and the audience at Langham Palace resort Hotel, the venue of the finals night.
As the winner of Miss Landscapes International 2018, Karen is scheduled to travel to Thailand, Hongkong, Macau, Myanmar and back in China. She is all set to grace the Miss China pageant later this year. “I still can’t believe I win! I thank Tito John for this opportunity. I also thank the entire Jewel of the Philippines family for the love and support, my family and those who helped me”, quips the newly crowned Pinay. She wore a Benj Leguiab creation during the finals and dresses by Andrei David, Ma. Sugar Paguio and Antonio Antono.
