Reigning Miss Philippine Youth 2018 Nadine Bornilla arrived at the Makati City Hall Mayor’s Office on Monday morning to pay a courtesy call on Mayor Marlen Abigail “Abby” Binay-Campos. Nadine clad in semi-formal attire greeted the incumbent mayor and extend her appreciation by presenting a certificate of appreciation for the mayor’s unwavering support to the youth of the city.
Nadine just arrived from Kobe, Japan where she and the other members of the Senior Agustinians Singers competed in a chorale singing competition. They placed 3rd over-all out of twenty entries from different part of the world. Nadine is very positive that they will make it to the final competition to be held in South Africa later this year.
“It is a privileged to meet our mayor in person and I am overwhelmed for her continuous support especially for the youth, and I was ecstatic to share my humble triumph during my quest for the Miss Philippine Youth title last month to her”, Nadine says. “As a Makati residence I will give my best effort to be of service to my fellow youth and to be a good example to them”, she adds.
Nadine was accompanied by her father Dr. Jumel Bornilla and some close family friends. Incumbent Vice-Mayor of Makati Monique Lagdameo also attended the ceremony. The event was covered by members of the media from broadsheet and blogs.
Nadine is planning to take up Medicine two years from now “There is a school in Melbourne who offers not only excellent academic courses but also proper ethics, and hopefully with God’s will I would like to go to a London university for my medicine proper. I might give another try to join in a national beauty pageant in the future after I finish my college degree, I will do my priorities one day at a time”, she ended.
