Seventy-eight (78) of the ninety international delegates for Miss Earth 2017 Pageant attended the Welcome Dinner Party at the Carousel Garden in Mandaluyong City last October 9, 2017. The gathering is an annual event of Miss Earth ushering the start of the pageant activities. All three executives Ramon Monzon, Lorraine Schuck and Peachy Veneracion were present to welcome the delegates. Veteran hollywood action star Steven Seagal and former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson are also in attendance. The candidates will be touring the different provinces and scenic spots of the country in the next 3 to 4 weeks with 3 major activities to watch out for, the beauty of figure and form, poise and beauty of face, and the dreaded interview. This year’s edition is tagged as “Heroines Fighting Climate Change”. Miss Earth is the only international pageant that truly cares and protect our mother nature, will culminate in a grand coronation night on November 4, to be telecast the following day over Kapamilya Channel ABS-CBN 2.
