FORMER UAAP COURT SIDE REPORTER IS THE NEW MISS WORLD PHILIPPINES 2017

Former Ateneo Blue Eagles court side reporter was crowned Miss World Philippines 2017 during the finals of the pageant last night Sept. 3 at the MOA Arena in Pasay City. Laura Victoria Lehmann bested 34 other hopefuls to snare the right to represent the country at the Miss World Beauty pageant in China late this year. She was crowned by the out going MWP 2016Catriona Gray, reigning Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle and Miss World 2013 Megan Young.
Kapuso actress from Paranaque City Teresita Ssen Wynwin Marquez took home the Hispanica Americana Filipinas crown. Early favorite Cynthia Thomalla of Cebu was adjudged Miss Eco - International 2017. Surprise winner of the night is 17 year old Sophia Senoron who bagged the Miss Multinational title. 1st and 2nd princesses went to Glyssa Perez and Zara Carbonell respectively.
Hosted by Iya Vilania, Carla Abellana and KC Montero the coronation was also attended by Miss World 2016 Continental Queens and Ms. Julia Morley chairwoman of MWO.
