TWO PINAY BEAUTIES TO COMPETE AT THE FIRST EVER MISS SOUTHEAST ASIAN BEAUTY PAGEANT.

Two Filipinas are set to compete at the First Annual MISS SOUTHEAST ASIAN BEAUTY PAGEANT to be held in Bangkok, Thailand this July 24, 2013. A special send-off party was given to both ladies last July 16 at the Fernandina Suites in Quezon City.

 

   Twenty-two-year oldAura Donna LagmanGaron, a native of Mabalacat City, Pampanga, is more than ready for the contest. A holder of 2 beauty titles (Miss Mabalacat 2012 and Miss Global 2010) as well as first runner-up at the 2012 Miss Philippines USA Pageant, this 5’6" tall beauty has prepared herself and stepped up on her preparation soon as she was handpicked as one of twoPhilippine delegates for the MISS SOUTHEAST ASIAN BEAUTY PAGEANT. Her rigorous training resulted into a well- proportioned body structure and fine personality.  Born 22 summers ago to parents Engr: JuneGaron and ErmieLagmanGaron, Aura Donna believes that more than beauty, having a good personality and the right attitude will make her stand out during the international competition. She graduated last 2011 with a degree in BS Nursing at the College of Our Lady of Mount Carmel."I want to promote the real beauty of Philippine culture and tourism to neighboring countries here in Southeast Asia and to the world as well. Through this objective, Filipino Communities abroad can pursue migration cooperation by promoting their rights and welfare through massive campaigns,” she enthused.

 

Aura Donna is also an Ambassadress of Global Workers and Family Federation, Inc. from 2011 up to present. Her duty includes promoting the rights and welfare of migrant workers and the family, update existing government services and involvement in a community group to sustain the advocacy. Aside from modeling, cultural and modern dancing, she also has the skills for hosting, psycho-social counseling, teaching, facilitating and coaching.  Like any other beauty queens, Aura Donna looks forward to bring honor and pride to the Philippines. “This is a dream come true for me to compete in an international pageant and a privilege as well to show to people that I can make a difference in this world,” she says.

 

 

 

 

 

The other lady competing for MISS SOUTHEAST ASIAN BEAUTY PAGEANT 2013 is non-other than Clarize Angelica Barrameda. This twenty-one year old stunner is a former title holder of Bb. Caloocan (2011). A graduate of BS in Mass Communications at the New Era College, Clarizewants to help in promoting the rich culture and the natural beauty of the Philippines to the whole world. “I want to build friendships between our country and our neighbors here in Southeast Asia," she says. Clarize also underwent an extensive training in personality development and pasarela in preparation for the international beauty pageant. “I will leave it up to my faith to Someone up there. With my family always on my side to support me, I would say that I am more than ready to conquer any fear when I compete in Thailand. Clarize is also into acting, hosting and cooking. “Aside from modeling, I really would want to see myself as a thespian in the future. Given a chance to be part of the film industry is a welcome challenge for me. I also love cooking, just as many believe that the easiest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach,” she says. This 5’6" tall beauty is also pursuing her Master’s Degree in Communications at the Asian Institute of Communication and Journalism. “I do believe that Education is still the best weapon for a better and strong future, thevery reason why I am seriously pursuing my master’s degree right now,”Clarize says. Many of her friends and supporters are wishing her the best of luck in her forthcoming competition abroad. “I will do my very best not to disappoint them. Definitely, I can feel the pressure right now but I also feel determined and confident to show my worth as a Filipina. This is not only for myself, my family and friends, but most importantly, for the Philippines.”

Both ladies underwent personality development training under the helm of former beauty queen and now beauty queen-trainer Miss HemilynEscudero of Totale Image Asia.

 

MISS SOUTHEAST ASIAN BEAUTY PAGEANT will showcase a grand festivity of cultures - a celebration of music, traditional costumes and dances from the Southeast Asian region. The pageant’s purpose is to unite young women around the region to share common values and foster friendship and understanding. The pageant will have its grand coronation night on the 24th of July at Prathumwan Princess Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Philippine franchise for MISS SOUTHEAST ASIAN BEAUTY PAGEANT was awarded to Mr. Mac Taug by the international pageant owners, Singapore based Mr. Alan SimandPraditPradinunt of Thailand. Mr. Taug is a well-known Muslim Fashion Designer in the country  and the owner of M. Taug Couture.
