Future Doctor is Miss Tourism World Philippines Grand Winner
Born in Italy but raised in the Philippines. BS Biology graduate of St. Scholastica’s College in Manila Sharyl Diana Catchillar bested more than forty other beauties and clinched the highest title of Miss Tourism World Philippines during the coronation night of Miss Tourism Philippines 2016 held last May 28 at the Newport Theater of Performing Arts, Resort World Manila.
This 32-24-36 morena exudes both confidence and intelligence. A child of overseas Filipino workers, Sha learned to live independently at a young age. Though she grew up here in the country, she speaks Italian fluently. She remained humble and God fearing despite of her achievements in school and putting up and managing her own business. She decided to join Miss Tourism Philippines to promote the beauty and tourism of her native province Pangasinan.
Sharyl would also like to purse her dream to become a medical doctor and take up a Master’s Degree in Molecular Medicine. It is her lifelong dream to serve the underprivileged especially her beloved kababayans.
The opportunity to live in two different countries has given her a wider perspective of the world. In her heart and mind, she is proud to be an example of a modern Filipina who is educated, courageous to face all the challenges, determined to pursue her goals, and resilient-one who never gives up and will always rise above failures.
