



Former Bb. Pilipinas Hopeful is PH’s Representative to Mrs. Universe 2016
Fifty one year old Cavitena Jenny Guinto is this year’s Philippine official representative to the annual Mrs. Universe Pageant from August 29 to September 6, 2016 to be held in China. Jenny is not new in the field of beauty contest. During her younger years she joined the most prestigious national pageant in the land – Bb. Pilipinas way back in 1983 ( Rosita Capuyon emerged as the top winner that year). She also placed 4th runner-up in the Miss Philippine Pacific pageant also on the same year.
After her beauty pageant stint, Jenny got involved in showbiz business and became a favorite leading lady of many action stars then. She was known as Jenny Varga when she entered the silver screen and wrapped-up more than twenty films during her entire career. “ I really did enjoyed my stint in entertainment world not only because it’s a good paying career but most especially I got the opportunity to meet popular stars and eventually worked with them”, Jenney says during her “Meet and Greet” event last April 18 at the Alex III Restaurant in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. The affair was attended by media people from entertainment, TV networks, newspapers and blogs. “When Gareth Blanco, the National Director and franchise holder of Mrs. Universe here told me that I was chosen among the many applicants for the international pageant I became more excited…parang bumalik yung panahon na bago pa lang ako sa larangan ng beauty contest”, she added.
Jenny was a Business graduate at the Philippine Christian University in Manila. She then went to Tokyo, Japan where she taught English for pre-school and high school students. She has three children 2 girls and a boy. Right now she is busy with her boutique business. For initial preparation, she then talk to former Mrs. Universe representative Ereline Tumali. “Eren gave me some pointers on what to expect and to do during the entire competition. She added that I have to be relaxed and need not be pressured. Mag enjoy daw ako ng maigi at kung papalarin bonus daw pag napasama ako sa winning circle. She also remind me to promote the cause of the pageant and that is to stop violence among women, Jenny ended during a brief interview.
