Christian Reyes Lacsamana - PH’s Bet to Mr. Gay World ‘16 Pageant
Thirty year old Christian Reyes Lacsama is the official representative of the Philippines to the forth-coming Mr. Gay World 2016 Pageant happening in historical and culture rich country Malta from April 19 to 23.
A special send-off press conference was held last March 12 at the Club One 690 in Roces, Quezon City to signal the start of Christian’s campaign in the eight year old international pageant that embarked to create global competition to inspire and empower gay men and show the world that being gay encompasses a broad spectrum. The event was attended by media members from TV networks, newspapers and blogs. Owner of the local franchise of the pageant ( Mr. Gay World Philippines Org.) Mr. Wilbert Ting Tolentino was present at the event and very ecstatic about the coming competition. “I know that Christian will give a good fight with thirty-two other delegates from different part of the world. He prepared so much for this and we at the MGWP is optimistic that he will show to the people of Malta that he is worthy of the title of Mr. Gay World 2016.”
Christian is a licensed teacher (graduated at Don Honorio Technological School) and currently teaching in the Secondary level. Born 30 summers ago in Pangasinan, he is the youngest in the family. He won 1st Runner-Up at Mr. Pogay Competition of the popular noon time show It’s Showtime.
“I am very thankful to the entire MGWP organization for giving me this once in a lifetime opportunity and I promise not only to do my best during the competition but most importantly to promote the cause of the pageant, that is to spread the awareness on HIV-AIDS and to be an ideal spoke person and representative to the entire LGBT community worldwide”, Christian said during an intimate interview.
