Jennifer Cruz: Ready To Conquer The Universe
Jennifer Cruz a.k.a Ina Alegre will be flying to Belarus Monday, August 24, 2015 to compete with the most beautiful and the best married women in the universe. The pageant will take place in the city of Minsk on August 28. “I am more than ready enough to face the competition. This is a chance of a lifetime to represent my beloved country and my 100millions fellow Filipinos” Jennifer says during a send-off party given to her last Saturday, Aug. 22 at Alex III Restaurant in Tomas Morato, QC. “It will be a tough job to compete with the rest of the world where every nation will be sending their best delegates”, she added. This forty-one year old mom to three wonderful kids and wife to Col. Gilbert Cruz is a public servant, educator, model, actress and entrepreneur in real life. Her daughter Angela competed and eventually crowned Princess of the Universe last July in Bulgaria. “Currently I’m leading the popularity voting conducted by the international organizers and hopefully I can maintain the #1 position until the last voting day”, she adds. The winner of this contest will automatically place a spot in semi-finals.
Mrs. Universe Beauty Pageant is annual global celebration of beauty and wits that honors married women. This contest started way back in 2007 in Bulgaria where the headquarter of the beauty contest is located. Eleonara Mancheva of Bulgaria was the first ever Mrs. Universe. The pageant aims for the good and welfare for humanity especially the women, youth and children around the globe. The current title holder is Sabina Pinion of the united States of America.
Mr. Francisco “Gareth” Blanco, Jr., the National Director for the Philippine franchise was also present during the send-off. “I have high hope for Jennifer in her quest for the first Mrs. Universe crown for the country. She exudes confidence, beauty and aura that the organizers is looking for a winner, and with God’s will, I am optimistic that she will be there on stage until the crowning moment”, Gareth says.

Jennifer was trained by Rodgil Flores, a well known beauty queen-maker in the country and heads the Kagandahang Flores camp. During the finals of the competition she will be wearing an elegant gown created and designed by Chico Estiva. “ Some of our previous representatives gave some pointers on what to expect when I get there in Belarus. That will really help in my quest for the crown and since I will be travelling alone with no alalays, I will be needing that reminders for the actual competition. As ambassador of our country in this pageant, I am asking your support and prayer during my one week journey in Belarus and I can promise that I wil giving my best effort to be deserving of the Mrs. Universe 2015 crown”, Jennifer ended.
