Philippines: Host Country of Miss Global 2015
Reigning Miss Global, and her court, are here in for a seven day visit
Reigning Miss Global 2014 Ela Mino of Canada is here in the country for a seven days visit. An arrival press conference was held last July 29 at the Garden Ballroom of Edsa Shangri-la Hotel in honor of the beauty queen. The event coincides with the announcement that the international pageant will going to be held here in the Philippines coming October 2015 at the City of Dreams in Paranaque City. “We are honored to bring this pageant to the Philippines for the first time.
It is an exciting year for us, following the success of Catherine Almirante in the Miss Global pageant last year”. says Pauline Laping, CEO and National Director of Miss Global Philippines. She adds that the entire organization of Miss Global Philippines is expecting for a successful and spectacular world class international pageant. Meanwhile Stephany Stefanowitz, says that hosting the international pageant is a big challenge but it will make the Filipino proud at the same time. She and Miss laping can’t wait what our country can showcase and offer to the international delegates. Joining Ela during the press conference are three of her court- Catherine of the Philippines-2nd Runner-Up, Aizan Lighg from Kazakhstan- 3rd Runner-Up and Benazir Thaha of Sri Lanka-4th Runner-Up.
Executives of the international organization were also here in Manila in full force led by Mr. Van Pham, Miss Global founder and Miss Lorie Anning from Los Angeles California, one of the executives of Miss Global. “We are expecting about close to fifty (50) candidates to compete for the prestigious title of Miss Global 2015. They will be visiting different scenic spot and will do various pre-events for two weeks. They will be showered by Filipino brand of hospitality and experience local delicacies and the countryside”. Miss Anning adds.
The event was hosted by Claudette Angelie delos Reyes, former Miss Philippines Earth and now the reigning Miss Multiverse Philippines and participated by the twenty official candidates of Miss Global Philippines 2015. The pageant is a gathering of beauty accross the world to highlight women’s individuality, poise, grace and wits.
