PINAY SEXAGENARIAN TRIUMPHANT IN KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
A sixty eight year old Filipina business woman made history as the oldest Pinay to win an international beauty pageant title abroad. Ludivina “Vina” Lelim Nacionales was proclaimed Mrs. Asia Classic International-Goodwill 2015 during a lavished finale of the pageant in Kuala, Lumpur, Malaysia. She also emerged as the most awarded among the thirty-two official candidates coming from different parts of the globe. Aside from the title, she also won as Mrs. Charity Queen, Mrs. Popularity Queen, Estee Gold Ambassador and one of the Top 3 Best in Talent.
Vina as she fondly called by her peers is running a number of Care Giving Center in the United States for more than two decades now. With her own effort, she was able to raise her children and help her family back in the Philippines. “ I was really elated with the honors that bestowed to me during the coronation in Kuala Lumpur. Hindi ko inaasahan with my age na pwede pa pala ako manalo ng beauty contest. Hopefully maging inspiration ito sa mga iba pang kababaihang na kakabayan ko na huwag tumigil sa pag dasal na matupad ang kanilang pangarap either professional or personal”. Vina says during the victory presscon held in One McKinley Place at Bonifacio Global City.
Last year two Filipina also emerged victorious at the same international pageant. Jessica Maloles and Lady Datin Lourdes Stutley went home with high placement. Both were with busy with their civic works and career as beauty queens.
