QUEZON CITY REP WINS MR. FAHRENHEIT 2020

Thirty year-old Leonard Codie Macayan II bagged Mr. Farenheit 2020 title. He represented the City of Stars Quezon City at the 18th edition of the search. Codie bested 14 other good looking and intelligent gay men who qualified as this year’s official candidates of the pageant. As winner of the search, he will outright represent the country in up coming Mr. Gay World this March. Our very own Janjep Carlos is the reigning title holder.
The two hour show was hosted by former Mutya Ng Pilipinas Kristine Caballero-Aplal and directed by Rodgil Flores. Codie’s court includes Eli Gonzales of Makati first runner-up, Richard Miranda farinas of Cavite second runner-up, Kelvin Kai Angala from Laguna third runner up and pre-pageant favorite Verge Llego of Cebu City fourth runner-up. Earlier in the competition, Codie also won two special awards, Best in National Costume and Best in Formal Wear.
Mr. Fahrenheit serves as the preliminary competition for the country’s representative to the annual Mr. Gay World pageant under the Mr. Gay World Philippines Organization (MGWPO) headed by businessman and former Mr. Gay World Philippines title holder Mr. Wilbert Ting Tolentino.
The pageant mission is to modernize the popular image of gay men and eradicate stereotypes from public perception and combat sexual prejudice for human equality and to continue the efforts for HIV/AIDS early detection program. Mr. Gay World ia an annual gay pageant seek to establish ambassadors for LGBT and human rights, with winners competing as delegates in a variety of categories. The competition is one of the most publicized gay contests in the world and utilizes the mileage it garners to focus attention on the plight of LGBIA+people worldwide.
