ASPIRING FUTURE LAWYER TO REPRESENT PH IN INTERNATIONAL PAGEANT FOR TEENS

An eighteen year-old AB in Behavioral Science freshman student at the De Lasalle University Taft, Manila will represent the Philippines in the second edition of Miss Little and Teen Glam International pageant happening on January 5 to 12 of next year. The finale will be on January 10 at the Marikina Convention Center.
Mariel Angela Prion earned the right to be the country’s official candidate to the international beauty pageant way back in May when she was crowned Miss Teen Glam Philippines 2019 in Tanghalang Pasigueno, Pasig City. She bested fellow teens from the different provinces, cities and municipalities here in the Philippines. She is the youngest among the two children of Anne and Ver. Some of her hobbies are painting, singing and dancing. Mariel advocates for the proper waste management among our youth today. She said that one of the most effective ways in the conservation of our environment is to teach the young generation on how to properly dispose waste and minimize the danger of spreading disease, she further explained that with the proper disposal method, we can reduce the garbage impact and will eventually removing it not only in our life but to the entire community as well.
A special dinner press conference was held last December 20, Friday at Richmond Hotel in Eastwood where selected media members from pageant industry were invited to meet Mariel in person and get to know more the young beauty queen up close and personal. She hurdled every questions that asked to her and impressed everyone with her wit and confidence. The young fashion model trainee at Primo Modelo Philippines would like to be a lawyer in the future. She wants to uplift the justice process here in country and be of service to those who are not capable of hiring the service of a professional legal adviser.
Even at a very young age, Mariel is already a well traveled person. She’s been to many parts of the world from Europe, Asia and to mainland USA. She says that it is very educational and good to know the different culture and lifestyle of the people around the world. She says that she spend around three hours in the internet everyday to know about what’s happening, She is more concerned about environmental issues like what happened to the Amazon River and the vast Australian forest fire that affects the eco-life system of all the inhabitants living in the areas. She wants to encouraged her fellow youth to explore the outside world and be with your friends and love ones rather than consuming hours on social media.
Among our national beauty queens, she idolized Pia Wurtbach Miss Universe 2015 and Wynwin Marquez Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 not only because of their physical assets but most especially about their involvement in various in different socio-civic activities even after their reign and the their ability to inspire other women.
For her coming international pageant, iconic Pinay designer Patis Tesoro will provide her national costume and international fashion designer Ito Curata will make her evening gown. During the holiday break, she will be busy training in all aspects of the competition, from walking, proper posture and public speaking. She said that she will do her best to be the most hospitable host to more than forty international delegates but at the same time a competitive representative of the country.
