MICHELLE MARQUEZ DEE : READY TO CONQUER THE WORLD

Reigning Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Marquez Dee is set to leave the country on November 19 to compete at the 69th edition of Miss World beauty pageant to be held at the ExCel Arena, London, United Kingdom scheduled on December 14.
A special send-off press conference was given to her by Miss World Philippines organization led by their CEO and President Arnold Vegafria held last November 13 at Nanka Japanese Restaurant in Roces Quezon City. He believes that Michelle will be a clear standout when she get there in London. “Her Filipina looks, plus her experience as an actress and model is a big plus factor and her heart is in the right place when it comes to her personal advocacy”, Vegafria says. “There will be a lot of pressure living up to her family’s legacy, (her mother Melanie Marquez actress and Miss International 1979 and cousin Winwyn who was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana in 2017), but let’s just hope she does her best”, Vegafria adds.
The afternoon send-off party was hosted by former Miss Eco International 2017 and now a GMA Artist contract star Tia Thomalla. Her Miss World Philippines 2019 sisters were also visible (Miss Eco Philippines Kelly Day, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Katrina Llegado, Miss Multinational Philippines Isabelle De Leon, Miss Philippines Tourism Glyssa Perez, Miss Teen Eco Philippines Mary Daena Ressureccion and 2nd Princess Casie Banks) to wish her the best of luck and to give her the much needed support.
The best of the Philippine fashion also contributed to ensure that Michelle will be wearing the best outfits, gowns, costume and shoes through-out the Miss World 2019 pageant. Francis Libiran, Renee Salud, Nono Palmos, Chris Nick and Jojo Bragais come together with a unified goal to support Michelle in her quest for the second Miss World crown for the country.
“I’ve always wanted to be someone who can lend a hand to those who need it and someone you can rely on. Something I aspire to become is a pillar of positive influence as well. We have a long way to go in our quest for a perfect world , but it is through example that we can make large wave together. I believe that pageantry especially Miss World has really changed through time. Beauty With a Purpose is their motto, hence it is not just about finding the prettiest among a group of women, but finding a girl that has the most to offer not only for her country but to the whole world as well. If given the chance to wear the Miss World crown, I want to be a queen that doesn’t just have title, but someone who can actually make a change and won’t settle for less”, Michelle says in front of the media and other guests who attended her press conference.
Michelle will be accompanied by her family, handlers from MWP and GMA – 7. The Miss World 2019 pageant will be telecast live via satellite via GMA-7 on December 14, Saturday at 10pm.
