CHRISTMAS BEGINS AT ARANETA CITY

Araneta City ushered the 2019 Yultide Season with the grand lighting of the 100 feet Christmas Tree at the Times Square Food Park. Now on it’s 38th year, the tree lighting is still one of the most anticipated events in the City of Firsts during the Holiday Seasons.
The iconic Christmas tree is adorned with 750 pieces of 9 foot pine garlands, diamond omaments some as large as 30 inches, 250 cascading lights; sputnik and strobe lights; and over 1,500 Christmas balls in silver and gold, as well as teal in line with the new colors of the recently re-branded Araneta City.
The event also featured the Araneta Group’s commitment of giving back and helping those in need. In partnership with J. Amado Araneta Foundation, the Araneta group is pledging its support to UNICEF’S Alternative Learning System for out of school youth in the country.through a re-commitment signing.
The event also featured some of the most exciting celebrity personalities of AVS CBN Kapamilya network led national sweetheart Anne Curtis. Other stars who rendered songs and dance number are Edward Barbers, Lou Yanong, Andre Broullette, Yamyan Gucong, Fumiya Sankai, Zephanie Dimaranan, Lucas Garcia and AC Bonifacio. Also present are the reigning Bb. Pilipinas 2019 Qyeens led by Gazini Ganados Miss Universe Philippines 2019, Emma Mary Tiglao bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019 and runers-up Aya Abesamis and Samantha Mae Bernardo.
Aside from the giant Christmas tree , the Times Square Food Park will also serve as the home of the Christmas Animated Display which have its own ceremonial launch on November 13.
