CEBUANA BEAUTY CROWNED MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2019

Twenty three year-old stunner from Talisay, Cebu was named Miss Universe Philippines 2019 at last night grand finale of Bb. Pilipinas 2019 beauty pageant held at the jampacked Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Filipino-Palestinian beauty Gazini Christiana Jordi Ganados bested 39 other hopefuls to clinch the highest title of the pageant. Though she was born in Dapitan in Zamboanga Del Norte and lived in Bohol, Gazini spent most of her life in the Queen City of the South where she graduated with a degree in Tourism Management at the University of San Jose Recoletos.This 5’8” tall standout was turned vegetarian just recently and planning to put up her own vegetarian restaurant in the near future. She describes herself as sweet and bubbly but fierce. Gazini is the official representative of the country at this year’s Miss Universe beauty pageant late this year.
BAR passer Bea Patricia Magtanong of Bataan is this year’s Bb. Pilipinas International and will compete at the Miss International in Tokyo, Japan. Half Pakistani Resham Ramirez Saeed of Maguindanao is Poland bound in December as the winner of Bb. Pilipinas Supranational. Eloquent and elegant Samatha Lo of Cebu snared the Bb. Pilipinas Grand International title and is heading to Caracas, Venezuela for the annual Miss Grand International pageant. One of early favorites Emma Mary Tiglao of Pampanga (Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental) will aim for a back to back international title this year for the country as she will compete at the Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant. Morena and Laguna’s pride Leren Mae Bautista (Bb. Pilipinas Globe) is our girl for Miss Globe pageant to held late this year. Runners-up honors went to Ma. Andrea Abesamis of Pasig and Samantha Bernardo of Palawan. Rounding off the Top 15 were the representatives from Zamboanga, Dumaguete, Malabon, Marikina, Sorsogon, Negros Occidental and Masbate.
One of the early favorites, Vickie Marie Rushton of Negros Occidental romped-off a total of 7 special awards including Miss Creamsilk, Ms. World Balance, Ms. Poteen –C, Ms. Ever Bilena, Jag Demins Queen and Manila Bulletin Reader’s Choice award.
The three hour spectacular show was hosted by Kapamilya stars Richard Gutierrez and Anne Curtis with Nicole Cordoves as anchor. The pageant was presented by Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI), Miss Universe Philippines and ABS CBN Channel 2.
