CEBUANA ILENE DE VERA SET SIGHTS ON THE CORONATION NIGHT OF Bb. PILIPINAS 2019.

Mandaue’s pride Ilene Astrid De Vera is all set and excited in the forth coming coronation night of Bb. Pilipinas 2019 beauty pageant. The twenty three year-old Cebuana has prepared long before the search started way back in March this year. She said that it’s like a whirlwind, “We had never noticed na were on the penultimate week of the competition na pala. I’m looking forward on June 9 not only to win a title but also to learn lesson out of the competition and make myself a better person when the pageant is finally over. “
A special meet and greet event for Ilene was held last June 1 at Tribu Babaylan by Chef Laudico in Tomas Morato attended by selected members of the press from the pageant industry. The Mass Communication graduate from University of the Philippines in Cebu says that her edge to the other Cebuana representatives at this year’s edition of the pageant is that she was actually born and raised in her hometown in Mandaue and she knows that she is representing a place not only by its name but because she spent all her life there from childhood to adolescence, and that makes her a genuine Cebuana.
Also in attendance during the special event is the main man of Kagandahang Flores (KF) beauty camp Mr. Rodgil Flores to give Ilene the much needed moral support. Ilene is no stranger in national pageant. She was actually a title holder on one of major beauty contest in the country and placed prominently in the top 5 on the international pageant where she competed.
Given a chance, she wants to take up another course (Interior Design). Joining Binibining Pilipinas is a realization of her dream long before she joined another national pageant. I really wanted to feel the adrenalin rush and experience the excitement as candidate of the most prestigious pageant in the country. Many pageant observers also believed that she deserved to be part of the top 10 in the recently concluded National Costume competition few days ago. “My opinion is all of us is in Binibini actually were deserving to be part of the final 10, but like in any other competitions, the judges has the final say” she enthused.
We wish Ilene all the best of luck coming coronation night and hopefully she will snare one of the titles at stake.
