KOREEN MEDINA MS. INTERCONTINENTAL QUEEN OF ASIA AND OCEANA 2013 AND THIRD RUNNER UP HOMECOMING.
Mutya Ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific 2013 Koreen Medina is the country’s newest international pageant winner as she bagged Third Runner Up honor at the 42nd Miss Intercontinental Pageant held at Maritim Hotel Magdeburg, Germany last Saturday, December 14, 2013. More than fifty delegates from around the world competed in the pageant with Miss Russia Ekaterina Plekhova romped off the coveted crown of Miss Intercontinental 2013.
Koreen was also named as Miss Intercontinental Queen of Asia and Oceana, alongside with other runners up that includes Puerto Rico- Aleyda Ortiz (North America), Colombia- Margarita Peralta (South America, South Africa- Kayla Nel (Africa. Other finalists are the delegates from Thailand, New Zealand, Hungary, Germany, Poland, England, Costa Rica, Curacao and Panama.
Koreen earned the right to represent the country by winning one of the top crowns of Mutya Ng Pilipinas pageant held last July 26 at the NBC tent in Taguig City. She was also the recipient of five special awards namely Mutya ng Sheridan, Best in Talent, Mutya ng Zen Institute and Mutya ng Careline.
The 5’6 Mass Communication freshman of St. Paul University is the daughter of Mr. Jesse Philipp C. Medina and Esperansa Garcia Medina and a member of Star Nagic of ABS CBN.
"I’m very honored and happy to share this victory to our kababayans who prayed hard and supported me during the pageant, this is my early Christmas gift to the Philippines. We are truly a country of winners" say Koreen during a brief media interview at the airport, upon her arrival from Germany Monday night, December 16, 2013.
