

PHILIPPINES’ REPRESENTATIVE TO MISTER AND MISS CAMPUS WORLD 2013
The Philippines will once again grace the International Pageant scene as two College students vie for the first ever Miss & Mister Campus World titles to be held this year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia come December 5, 2013.
19-year old Maria Isabelle ‘Marisse’ Zaragoza Mendoza of Longos, Malabon and native of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur will wear the Miss Philippines sash while 23-year old Roland William Ayalde De Dios of Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija will be this year’s Mister Philippines.
Marisse is a 4th year student at San Beda College Manila taking up Human Resource Development Management and hopes to be a successful HR Practioner and Flight Attendant someday. This will be her first International Pageant after participating as finalist in the 2013 Miss Tourism World Philippines last May 19, 2013. When asked about her expectations from the upcoming competition, Marisse said ‘I expect that I am going to give my best shot and that I will be successful in giving pride to our country’. This 5’6 beauty will be wearing wardrobes including National Costume and Evening Gown designed by Jontie Martinez.
On the other hand, William is currently on his 2nd year BS Education course at the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology. His ambition in life is to have his own business and to be a teacher. He won the titles Mister Cabanatuan 2012 and Ginoong Filipinas Nueva Ecija Turismo 2011. ‘Sa pagsali ko sa Pageant na ito, gusto ko sana na matupad ang mga pangarap ko para mabago ang buhay namin at makalaban dala ang bandila ng Pilipinas. Kilalanin ako ng mga tao na kahit minsan ay di ko naisip na magagawa ko’ William said when being asked about his own expectations from the contest. This 6 footer and part-time model will wear a Rodell Salvador and Dennis Celestial creations for the contest.
The pageant will be participated by student delegates from all over Asia and will carry the mission to recognize the role of student as equal partners in development and promote youth empowerment.
