MISS EARTH PAGEANT UNVEILS NEW SET OF ELEMENTAL CROWNS
The New Crown Jewels of Miss Earth 2013 by Ramona Haar

Over the years, the Miss Earth Pageant proved to be a very effective channel, not just to promote the Philippines as top tourist destination but also its beauty and talented people and a leading force in echoing environmental concerns and issues.
This year, aside from the ninety gorgeous delegates vying for the coveted crown currently worn by Teresa Fajksova of Czech Republic, a brand new attraction is in the offing with the introduction of three brand new crown jewels to be awarded to three elemental winners of Miss Earth 2013. (Miss Air, Miss Water and Miss Fire)
These three brand new crowns will complement the existing Miss Earth Crown introduce last 2009 by noted Filipina Jeweler and Gemogolist based in Florida, USA, Miss Ramona Haar. The Miss Earth Crown has become a symbol of unpolished pulchritude and enduring advocacy through the years. It features various gemstones endemic to the countries participating in Miss Earth Pageant which they donated as a symbol of cooperation towards a universal goal of saving Mother Earth.
“It’s always been my advocacy to promote the talent and ingenuity of our Filipino craftsmen, which can very well compete with other countries, that’s why this year, I’ve decided to conceptualize and design a brand new elemental crowns for Miss Earth Court of Honors.” says Miss Haar a Graduate Gemologist (GIA) at The Gemological Institute of America in San Diego California, during an interview at the Press Presentation of Miss Earth 2013 Candidates held last November 21 at F1 Hotel in Taguig City.
The Elemental Crown Jewels designed and made exclusively for Miss Earth Pageant, are of the same size and weight and only varies in color depending on the type of elements in which it represent. Yellow for Miss Earth Air, Blue for Miss Earth Water and Red for miss Earth Fire. These crowns are handcrafted 100% in recycled sterling silver. The braided silver wire is used to form recurring spiral motifs and decorative curvilinear patterns. The entire crown is decorated with individually prong set multi-shaped citrine and zirconias and accented with pave set clear and cubic zirconias.
The new Miss Earth 2013 and her court of honor will have a fashion pictorial with their respective crown jewels immediately upon their coronation. The photos will be included in a planned book by Miss Ramona Haar that will feature her finest jewelry design made by Filipino Craftsmen.
Who are the lucky girls who will have the distinct honor of wearing these crowns? We will all find out come Coronation Night to be held at Verseilles, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, on December 7, 2013 at 8:00pm. It will be telecast live on FOX Network’s Starworld Channel and will be aired at ABS CBN Channel 2 on December 8, Sunday at 10am.
