SIMONE NADINE BORNILLA IS ALL SET TO COMPETE INTERNATIONALLY

Reigning Miss Philippine Youth Simone Nadine Bornilla, a fifteen year-old student of Colegio De Santa Rosa is the Philippines representative to the 2018 edition of Miss Teen International happening in New Delhi, India from December 12 to 19.
A special send-off press conference was held last Sunday, Dec. 2 at the Penthouse of West Avenue Suites in Quezon City to signal the start of her campaign for the said international pageant. The event coincides with the presentation of the candidates for the Mr. and Miss Philippine Youth 2019. Hosted by Mr. Gerald Ortiz, the send-off was also attended by her parents Dr. Jumel Bornilla and businessman Manix Genabe and by selected members of the media.
The pageant for teen aged girls is considered the oldest running pageant for teens between 14 and 19 is expected to have thirty five aspirants from all over the globe. Sweden’s Sofia Anderson was the winner of the inaugural year way back in 1993. There will be 4 Continental winners and 1 grand winner to be chosen during the finals of the pageant.
5’4” tall Nadine is a member of Agustinian Singers of Colegio De san Agustin, the group that won the Silver and bronze certificate in international chorale competitions held in Vietnam and in Kobe, Japan. She went to a vocal training under Miss Saigon alumni Isay Alvarez at Spotlight Artists Center. She also attended ballet classes under prima ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde. She is also an active volunteer of a medical mission called MANGYAN (Manggagagmot ng Bayan or Healers of the Nation). The group holds medical mission in the remote places in the country to serve the under privileged.
Aspiring medical doctor in the future, Nadine has her own Glam Team in preparation for the Miss Teen International. Local National Director of the pageant is Ms. Charlotte Dianco.
Miss Teen International is chaired by Nikhil Anand and based in Malviya, Nagar in New Delhi. The pageant will celebrate its 25th edition this year.
